Eight Months Old!

What to say about turning 8 months... Really Lewis is becoming tons of fun and it's amazing to sit and watch him figure things out. Recently he figured out how to put the rings onto the stacker and to nest his stacking cups together. He concentrates so hard and looks so proud of himself when he's done it!

Here are the boys before the Super Bowl.
He's now very speedy when crawling. He can pull up to stand and is trying to cruise between furniture now. He always looks a little surprised when he lets go and ends up falling down -- seems to expect that he'll stay upright. He also has started dancing along to music from his toys -- he'll bounce sitting, standing, even on his hand and knees. He throws his arms up in the air for all sorts of things he's excited about -- bite of food - Yay! (arms up), happy to see you - Yay! (arms up), favorite book - Yay! (arms up). We've had a couple head bumps and a split lip from him putting both arms up while standing...
He is eating like a champ. He loves his finger foods and prefers to eat them by the handful. Blueberries are his favorites, though he still loves his O's and Cousin Kendall figured out that he would follow a trail of cheerio's through the house =)
He's been working on a very airy "boo" which he finds very amusing as it involves alot of spit.

Here he's showing you his best Badger face!
My sister Jessica and her family were in Madison this weekend for a wedding and it was super fun to see Lewis interact with her kids. He loved watching 2 yr old Jack and was amazed at everything he did. Jack was less enthusiastic about having to share Grandma with Lewis. Kendall who is 5 (almost 6) years old loved him and he loved her back. She brought him toys to play with and even set up towers for him to knock down. He rewarded her with hugs and kisses.

We Heart Books!

Our little man has fallen in love with books this week.
For the past several months, he's enjoyed looking at books at bedtime and before naps, but only ones with pictures of baby faces in them. Once he was up and moving, he had no time for books.
But for the past few days, he's been going over to the bucket of books in the living room, pulling out books and bringing them to us to read. Pete and I are stoked. We have both been avid readers since we were kids and are hoping Lewis will share our love of books.
Don't worry though -- he's still not sitting still for too long =)

Snuggles

Could anything be sweeter?
But snuggles don't last too long around here...
Especially once the camera comes out!

And he got me...

Snow Day

While Madison didn't get the brunt of the blizzard, we did get a foot of snow and a late start for Peter! While Pete was out shoveling, Lewis and I bundled up and borrowed our neighbors sled. He thought it was pretty fun until the wind started blowing.
All this indoor time has given us plenty of time to play with our toys. Wagons are good for riding in...
And pushing...
